Building of the factory-kitchen was built in 1936-th year. Its opening was a big event in life of the city. Factory had a possibility to feed several thousands people at day. Since new year workmans of factory have begun daily to deliver the morning meals on all school Minsk on own car with branded stigma. In common-room of the restaurant, decorated pillar, the state officials from House of Government ate. Here is settled down banquets and balls evening often. The Factory-kitchen was their own high professional cook glorified by skill.

Enterprises for mass eating ready kinds of food, promoting development of the system quick and mechanized public eating, started to come up in Europe and particularly in America already at the beginning initially 20-th age. The Bolsheviks tried to realize this idea in Russia.

It was an open first factory-kitchen at springtime 1925 in Ivano-Voznesensk. Many processes of the preparation of the food, as well as dishwashing and cutting vegetables and bread were executed machine there. In condition of the first factory-kitchens it's not to manage to realize the cultural-educational process of that, what seemed the most important for ideolodical structure.

Theorists of the public feeding considered in that years that dinning-room must become institution, in which worker will not only satisfy need for food, but also conduct its leisure. It was possible realize only in major concerns of the public feeding. Exactly so it was considered necessary at development plan buildings of the factories-kitchen, except premiseses for preparation and receiving the food, design the room of the rest.

Majority these in principal new institutions of the public feeding was opened in building, built architect-constructivists. The Constructionism has found best and finished entailment in many factory-kitchen. Here, there was marketed principle "function plus dinamics". Making the large institutions of the public feeding was a deal exceedingly important for development of industry USSR. Enormous amount of people flowed together at cities and on construction-site. They need for food. First factories-kitchens with their extremely primitiv assortment of kind of food could help to cope with this problem. Opening each such institutions at the end 1920-h years were surrounded as serious public-political action. The Factory-kitchen in Lower Novgorod was built in 1927, in 1929-th - in Leningrad, in 1936-th - in Minsk.

Moscow and leningrad factories-kitchens at the beginning initially 1930-th years produced close 60 thousand dinners at day, fifth part of which delivered on located not far away enterprises. However serious difficulties with provisions held up the development of capacity of this form of the public feeding.

Building is a monument of the architecture of the constructionism. At postwar years it was several times reconstructed. Presently here takes seats recreational complex - a cafe, bowling, casino, restaurant "Galaxy", and night club with disco "Night Star".
